Im facing an issue which is difficult to replicate, We have a react native app using mongodb realm. There was an instance where a few records where created and then after pressing home those records vanished. They weren't synced to mongodb and where no longer present in the app. There is no delete functionality in the app. There is a function which checks for online status using netinfo and then when online will re start the sync session with mongodb. There is a frontend indicator which shows the realm connection status and the network connection status.
