MITIGATE Seminar is Australia's premier IT risk event for 2012. We require a promotional video to be created for us, similar in style to the "Socialnomics" series that has been successful on YouTube (see [login to view URL]). The final output video will be 1920x1080 at 24 progressive frames per second and follow the script outlined in the "Detailed requirements" section. ## Deliverables The following is the script for the video. We will provide the MITIGATE brand logo and font for use. Each "*" represents a new "slide" in the video. Please refer to our web site ([login to view URL]) to get a feel for our branding style and colours. NB: Three of our speakers are yet to be announced so a placeholder has been set for them below. If you are the winning bidder you will receive their names and descriptions in private. SCRIPT BEGINS: * What are the five biggest IT risks to Australian organisations today? * HACKERS. * Think you're safe because you have anti-virus and a firewall? * Think again. * In 2011, 150,000 viruses were released each day. * That's 2 every second, totalling 54,750,000 in a year - a 60% increase from 2010. * On average, there is a 40% chance that on the day a virus is released your anti-virus won't detect it. * If you experience a targeted attack by a hacker, it's unlikely anti-virus will detect it at all. * Today's hackers bypass anti-virus and firewalls undetected using social engineering. * Social engineering is the art of manipulating you into willingly helping the hackers get what they want. * In a recent study by Microsoft, 44.8% of analysed viruses made use of social engineering techniques to gain access to IT systems. * FRAUD. * In 2010, surveyed organisations in Australia & New Zealand reported losses to fraud totalling $345.4 million over 2 years. * The average loss by each organisation experiencing at least one incident of fraud rose from $1.5 million in 2008 to $3 million in 2010. * Organisations who were defrauded believed that only 33% of their total losses were being detected. * In the first six weeks of 2012, two Australian organisations detected frauds in the tens of millions of dollars - $16M and $45M. * DISASTERS. * 56% of surveyed organisations in Australia would not be able to avoid an IT systems outage in the event of serious IT incident. * 41% don't have a formal, comprehensive Disaster Recovery plan. * 36% don't have an offsite backup. * Only 22% feel that they would be able to recover quickly in the event of an IT systems outage. * CHANGE. * Australians have a long history of creating technologies that disrupt entire industries. * 1854: The Fridge. * 1889: The Electric drill. * 1906: The Feature-length film. * 1958: The Black box flight recorder. * 1961: Ultrasound. * 1978: The Hearing aid. * 2003: Google Maps. * 2004: Stop Shot blast glass. * 2006: The HPV16 vaccine. * 2012: ? * What would happen if your biggest competitor invented a technology that disrupted your industry? * ROI. * Australian organisations spent over $60 billion on Information Technology in 2011. * On average, an IT project will go over budget by 27%. * 1 in 6 IT projects, however, will go over budget by 200% - and over schedule by 70%. * Of those that are actually completed successfully, many IT projects will still fail to deliver any real business value. * Five risks. * HACKERS. Kevin Mitnick. Hacking and social engineering expert. The world's most famous (former) hacker. * FRAUD. * DISASTERS. * CHANGE. Daniel Burrus. Technology forecasting and business strategy expert. Turns rapid technology-driven change into a competitive advantage. * ROI. * Five experts. * Brisbane 27 August 2012 * Sydney 29 August 2012 * Canberra 31 August 2012 * Melbourne 03 September 2012 * Adelaide 05 September 2012 * Perth 07 September 2012 * One day. * MITIGATE Seminar 2012 (logo)
