We have python code that is used to help upload files to our site. The code works to upload pdf files, and word files from an Apple Computer, but if you upload a word doc from a Windows computer it gives this error:
BadRequest: The id "D:\Data\FBYC\0PENING DAY REGATTA [login to view URL]" contains characters illegal in URLs.
A portion of the relevant code is - and I can provide more to interested bidders:
title=[login to view URL])
filelocation = "%s/%s" % (newfolder, newfile)
if [login to view URL] != "photo":
context.add_attachments(event_id=[login to view URL],
attachtype=[login to view URL],
name=attachname,
file=filelocation,
filetype=[login to view URL],
creator=[login to view URL]
Fixing this should take a knowledegeable Python programmer about 5 minutes.
