PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD: I am in the process of finishing my book (memoir) and I am looking for a copy editor that is able to add comedy to my work. I want us to talk and get to know each other so you can understand my humor and just add a little extra comedy/funny in it. Please pay attention to the content of my book: I am writing about my life and experiences as a trans person. I am not focusing on the negative, which is why I need a copy editor to help me make it a little funnier. I would LOVE someone in the LGBTQ+ community, or at least a VERY woke ally who understands trans topics and how important and personal this work is for me and for the community. I'm very dyslexic so having someone who can be a copy editor AND add comedy is my ideal person! I know this is a silly test, but I literally cannot tell you how many generic responses I get and I want someone REAL and willing to working WITH me and not FOR me, you get me? :) Price will depend on how much work you put in. The processing stage, where the manuscript is prepared for the copyediting process; 2. The copyediting stage in which the manuscript is actually copyedited; and, 3. The proofing stage, where the manuscript is checked for the misses that occurred during the copyediting stage. Hi there. I'll start with the test: the last video you uploaded was "What did I get?" (about 46 minutes ago). In terms of my writing skills, I have a degree in Creative Writing and have ghost written over a dozen novels (including some comedies), screenplays etc in the past year alone. As for LGBTQ+, I suppose I'd fall into the "woke"/open minded camp - my ex-wife was bisexual and when we were together I went along to some of their events at clubs etc, which were mostly a lot of fun. In terms of knowledge of what's specifically affecting the trans community, I love ContraPoints' videos and tend to be one of the first people to watch them when they're added, so I have some awareness. If you'd prefer to go with someone within the LGBTQ+ community, fair enough & I wish you good luck with this. Regarding you having dyslexia, I have dyspraxia, so we're condition cousins. No issues with spelling etc. I've also got experience with editing and proof reading and would be happy to help with fixing grammar and spelling. I like the idea that you're after somebody to collaborate with rather than somebody to work for you. Last time I had that kind of relationship with someone I wrote with, it was a lot of fun. :) I was going to give you some more general bits of info about myself but I'm running out of characters.
