Hi, One of my client site is intended to be a B2B E-commerce site and non-business clients will also be served. I feel that 9x% of web sites offer too much visual distraction to be effectively communicative to achieve a single point. The point is to answer the client's query – to fill their need, while simultaneously educating them. It is possible the client does not know what it is they truly need and the best-most effective way to achieve that end. Stated another way, the client doesn’t know what he/she/it (an organization) doesn’t know. Also the site’ purpose is to assist and amplify the client’s knowledge to achieve an end and provide them with the best product to fit their need. Achieving the “fit” is the purpose of this web site. Indeed, there are two “needs”. One, to secure the proper cartridge that fits the client’s machine. And, two, what method to use to most effectively reduce their printing expenses. There are two major components to this cost reduction. One is the usage of a more efficient toner cartridge and two, the imparting the knowledge of how to reduce overall comprehensive - operational expenses. That is, repair of replaceable wear parts that exhaust themselves with usage. In my opinion web sites need to be more "zen-like"-very clear and clean in their presentation and how they move the client through the information presentation, product selection and purchase process. My site will also provide all information required to address the problems noted. I seek to welcome visitors as guests to my site, share with them my knowledge of the art of the printing world and how to correctly assess the actual “cost” of printing each document that exits one’s machine. Address what the "true" costs of printing a document are, i.e. costs beyond the purchase cost of the toner/inkjet cartridge, and address everyone's frustrations with printing on small office type printers when they experience a "print failure". Print failures happen to virtually every human who has ever used an office printer; They are experienced as lines printed in vertical orientation down a page, or, repeated dots printed in a vertical "line" orientation, or, dark bars printed upon a page, or, toner dumping inside a printer, or, areas of a character missing (with inkjet printers). This site will guide people how to remedy these situations and assist them to evaluate what is the real dollar cost to them when they experience such a print failure as previously noted. Also, we'll educate people as to the other factors that are needed to support on-going operation of a laser printer. Each step must offer an A/B, Yes/No decision. This is so as to best guide the visitor to a clearly and EASILY determined decision. Once they have made that decision, fulfillment should be a one click “Yes-Make it so”, a la Jean Luc Piccard of Star Trek fame’s direction to his able crew. I present data very clearly in terms of costs to perform an action, then show the effective aggregate costs and savings of taking one action versus another. This is to portray the viability of a decision. the difference must be shown so as to make a viewer (and hopefully decision maker) feel the ease of and logical/cost saving nature of using our proffered choice versus choosing to stick with their status quo.
