I am thinking about adding an additional 6 inch in the back of the fridge before building the box frame and that allowed a custom full framed look for a 36 inch regular size refrigerator (instead of counter depth). But that would mean my fridge would pass 6 inch from the counter (even though it would be all framed in). I need to see how that would look. Another option would be to place the fridge at the left end of the kitchen, then the extra six inch would not matter as much as having it in between cabinets.
