I have a WINDOWS-server with [login to view URL] which I want to run my 2 WP homepages on. I also need SSL for both of them (Multi-domain (SAN) SSL certificates). The reason I use Windows and not Linux is because I want to pay for only 1 online-server and I will be using it for development and testing...which I do in Windows. HYPER-V is a possibility...setting up a linux-VM to run on the server...with separate IPs (I will have to order 1 new IP for this). But this is not a requirement. If you know a better way to do it inside windows...then do that. The project is NOT about changing anything in the webpages - just getting them up and running with SSL. I will use All-in-one-migration to back up the two pages and you simply need to import them to the server after setting up WP. I also want to run an IMAP mail-server to run mail-service for one of the [login to view URL] one domain I have Office 365 and exchange-server (so I do not need help there), but the other service will be lost when I quit my subscription with the old webhotel ([login to view URL]) The Windows server is 2019 and is quite new. It has 2CPUs and 4GB RAM and it is virtual. I have had very bad experiences with people who wants to start the project before they accept it....this has wasted a lot of my time....you therefore will not be able to start the project until you have accepted the project after we have agreed on a price. Hi there. I'm Mario, sysadmin from Argentina with 25 years experience. I'm focused on infrastructure projects, like server installations, databases, web servers, IP connectivity, virtualization and such, I've done several wordpress migrations and they are normally simple to do, just backup&restore files, restore the database and finally update the db credentails on the WP config file, so that should be more or less easy to do. In your case it would require a bit of extra setup to install mysql and some fine tunning on IIS but it shouldn't be hard. I think it would require at least one rehearsal in order to be sure that everything works before doing the DNS changes. About the IMAP server, the most simple thing would be to install some imap server like hmailserver and do the migration from the client itself before doing the dns changes. What about your outgoing email? Will it need to be setup as well? (think so) I usually work via Teamviewer or anydesk so you don't have to share any passwords with me and if needed, I test everything in my lab before deploying it customer environment.
