Is it mysql? I am assuming its mysql as you couldn't state. There are few cases that can cause it. Network problem, less timeout value. You should check first if there is any abort connection SHOW GLOBAL STATUS LIKE 'Aborted_connects' If there is no than its due to blob size. You are querying setting a value higher than it supposed to be without making bigger the package size. Such as max_sort_length higher than max_allowed_packet. That will also cause database connection error. Best you should try starting mysql with default value than see if problem is reoccurring. If problem was in MSSQL, thats a different case :) Dont hesitate to ask me, i like to solve problems.
