We have a database of event data that can be accessed via an API.
We have several calendar tools that we have adapted to use this data - and would like to have more.
We view this as great fun for developers - the chance to create cool calendar displays with out the hassle of writing an admin function!
The ideal situation is a developer with an existing calendar that would be adapted from reading a database or a file - to receiving data from our API.
An alternative would be to create a new display tool - or adapt one from open source code.
We have no mobi apps - so I would very much like to hear your ideas.
The API currently provides text, html, json, xml, ical, rss, sql and xcal. We currently have flash, php and java script calendars - so any language you want to write is fine with us.
We particularly need calendars that offer a nice user interface, support searching and can allow people to efficiently navigate lots of event records.
Our current API builder with some of our current calendars is at [login to view URL]
Our complete API specifications are at: [login to view URL]
If you have calendars up - send me a link. Or, if you have ideas - let me know.
Thanks!
