Configure a Open Source eBox like server for SMBs

We are interested in getting an Open Source based, small business server, like e Box, Clear-OS or other suitable solutions,to have facilities like the Microsoft Small Business Server. Typically for 10-70 concurrent users. The specs for the eBox are at : [login to view URL] Would like to have a profile, of the aspirants. We are open to other similar alternatives, like clearOS etc. We are also open to having one or two alternative sub-sets based upon the experience of the consultant selected. The solution will be to have an appliance, duly configured, which will be the box between the in-house IT LAN, and the Internet, and the external VPN connections etc. The LAN would have this box, and a separate high HDD capacity file server (> 1 terabyte), a Thin Client server, and a Postgres/MySQL server. This will be a three phase engagement: Phase - 1: - to discuss and debate the selected solution, architecture and the features of the box, its interface with the Internet router and the other LAN boxes and Thin Clients. Phase II: to configure the selected solution as a virtual appliance, under VMware or Xen, test it and ftp it to me. To test the virtual server of eBox, at my site. Phase III: If performance is not satisfactory, do a production instal of eBox onto a server, configure it, and test it. I have done the Phases I and II, on an experimental basis with eBox, to checkout the eBox functionality, but would like to have a second opinion on the eventual production setup. Would prefer a virtual appliance solution, if needed with a dual/quad core processor and 4-8 GB memory, rather than a bare metal server install.
