Need a software that provides the raw data back from a usb mouse. Ideally the software would be dual binary so that it will run on mac and windows. But if not, windows only is fine. I want to be able to click the space bar which will zero out both the x and y data. Then i want to move the mouse and see the data on the screen. There should be 4 columns, X and Y as they relate to the coordinates on the screen. Count of X increments that have taken place since the last zero (what ever the count is based on… I’m assuming pixels). Count of Y increments that have taken place since the last zero. I want to see the data back from the mouse even when the cursor reaches the edge of the screen. i.e. if the cursor is at the edge, but the mouse is still moving, I want to continue to see the results from the movements. The data should be exportable to Excel. Please indicate if you are going to provide a dual binary of just windows.

Hello, I can provide a solution only for Windows because I will catch low level Mouse messages. Anyway usual mouse coordinates are relative to the current mouse cursor so the mouse will send always only delta X and delta Y. So if you want to read I can catch even buttons and the scroll button (wheel). Regarding the export to Excel. Do you need XLS or XLSX file format ? I can do both. Unfortunately I can't provide the same solution for MAC. It is system low level specific. Kind Regards, Patrik

I may create USB monitor only for windows - because I don't have Mac. Milestones: 1. Console utility for capture USB data from mouse and decode it 2. GUI: List of USB devices. Display 4 columns with mouse movements and current cursor position. Start/stop by button or "space" key. Button for export to Excel (CSV-format) This bid's price is based on two restrictions: 1) no mouse auto-detecting 2) only ordinary USB mice will be supported How important are these restrictions for you?
