Good day! As someone who is in software engineering for past 20 years, I would love to look into this project and, hopefully, get a contract to handle it. All my applications now run on VB.NET platform. However, they were all written in VB6 and earlier versions. About 10 years ago, the transition of all of them began. For example, one of my larger projects is a HR + Payroll + Accounting + Stock/store management system. It was initially developed with VB6 and MS Access as the database. Later Access was replaced with MS SQL and, in the end, front end was ported from VB6 to VB.NET 2005. Later, as Microsoft issued more advanced versions of Visual Studio, I was upgrading my software, approx. once every 12 to 18 months. In short, I have quite a lot of experience handling upgrades from VB6 to VB.NET or even VB.NET to C#, including handling Crystal Reports, MS SQL or MySQL access, DevExpress components (for better interface!) and DevExpress reporting components. If you are not too busy, I strongly encourage us to talk about the project, without any obligations at your end to hire me in the end.
