I am interested in helping you prepare a non-provisional application for filing in the USPTO. I am guessing that you expect to file the non-provisional by yourself. Perhaps the first step is for us to meet via video conference. First 1/2 will be free to discuss my credentials. Your NDA will be signed at this point. Next hour is at full rate $150. This hour we will spend to parse out what you mean "I have already filed a provisional and I want to file the non-provisional patent." I will be asking you particular formalities questions about your existing provisional application. After I have a chance to read your abstract, we can discuss the option to obtain a search estimated $850. You can do this step yourself or instruct me not to do a search and proceed with non-provisional patent application preparation without a search. At this point you can decide what to instruct me to exactly do: claims only $2000 XOR redacting the entire provisional to beef it up to a non-provisional and draft the claims for you $5000. I will not have a time estimate until I am presented with the provisional application. "it is about padlocks" is insufficient for me to provide an estimate. Yes I am comfortable drafting mechanical patent applications. Most likely it will be 2weeks from start to finish. When is the deadline to file the non-provisional? It is possible with you doing some of the work to reduce your cost. The bid is actually about $6000 I am too new on Freelancer to bid that.
