Powershell Script to use Local Publishing interface of Microsoft WSUS -- 2

Purpose: Publish 3rd party updates using WSUS local Publishing API remotely through powershell. Project Scope • Publish Update successfully, using all defined variables [login to view URL](v=vs.85) • Progress Update of Published Update [login to view URL](v=vs.85) • Verification of Published Update [login to view URL](v=vs.85) • Revise /Expire / Resign / Delete the Update [login to view URL](v=vs.85) Limitations: • Cannot install any external module / software / components / nuggets or online codes on the system. • Must use only Powershell capabilities and embed methods defined by Microsoft. And must use only below api methods [login to view URL](v=vs.85) (No need to create any actions for binary / trustrelationships etc.) Completion Checklist: • The code should be in two sections, the code will be rejected if any variables are defined or hardcoded inside the publishing updates o All Variables All variables are defined under these below URLs [login to view URL](v=vs.85) o Publishing update (MSI, EXE, MSP) Sample code is available on below URL, it will use the above-defined variables. [login to view URL](v=vs.85) sample field’s locations: (this is a not a complete list some fields are not mapped such as isinstalled_update rules etc.) • The code to be successfully executed remotely using remote WINRM service. • The file_path will be a shared folder on a network drive.
