Hi there, I have worked on a similar setup but without using the Raspberry Pi Camera module. There is a Python library that can be used to interact with the Raspberry Pi camera module in order to capture the images and/or videos. NginX can be used as a lightweight web server to allow for remote viewing. I have experience with AWS as a cloud platform and depending on throughput would probably stay within the free price tier (also depending on how many systems were looking to be deployed).
