Hi there, I can stand back from the content, even though I may not have an intimate knowledge of the product/service that has been written about and firstly look at the core basics of grammar, spelling and punctuation. On the second pass, I then try to look at the content from the readers perspective and ensure that the structure and delivery of the content hangs together, even where I would be a novice reader (often the most important point in that if I can understand it from a low content expertise perspective, then the final document will be succinct and meet the expectations of the intended audience.
