Cylindrical Telescopic Fastener

This gold, silver electroplated steel tube 12mm in diameter, and 70mm long is fixed to both ends of a rope, chord which replaces the traditional belt with buckle around the waist of all types of slacks, trousers, pants jeans etc, with a female receiver fixed to one end, and a male insertion fixed to the other end of the rope. This gold, silver coloured barrel receiver is in turn fixed to another part of same diameter 25mm in length by means of a ball joint, swivel loose fixing. This 25mm part is pressed, crimped, glued onto the rope when the rope is inserted into it. This gives the finished female receiver fixed to one end of the waist rope. Similarly there is a male insertion projection fitted to the other end of the rope which will slide into the female receiver of the fastener. This male projection will have a thumball bearing fitted to the head of the round projection on the side . The user will press this ball bearing before inserting it into the receiver so that it will slide in, and will pop into anyone of a number of holes drilled out of the corresponding receiver barrel so that the rope will fasten tightly around the waist of the user. This male end will also be fixed by means of a ball joint, swivel to a 12mm diameter pipe, 25mm in length which will be crimped, pressed, or glues onto the rope. This telescopic fastener will be quick, and easy to close by pressing the spring loaded ball bearing encased into the male projection barrel. When opening this fastener the user will compress this silver ball with their thumb which will have popped up through one of the holes on the receiver barrel thus releasing the male from the female. The product designer will have to source the manufacturer, and design the fastener in conjunction with the maker of the prototype so as to avoid delays, and ensure prompt delivery of the finished product.
