Simple PHP call to YAPIG script from main page of website

Real simple project here. I have YAPIG installed ([login to view URL]) and with YAPIG it is one PHP image gallery script that you can have multiple seperate galleries. So I have 4 galleries setup. On the main page (the gallery directory page for YAPIG) it has all the galleries listed along with the number of images in that gallery. Whatever the code that YAPIG uses to display the number of images in the individual galleries I need to use that same on on the main index page of my website. On the main page to my site I have a thumbnail image of three of the galleries and their title, underneath them it shows the number of images in the archive, but I have to manually enter the numbers whenever I update the galleries, I want it to dynamically update the same as the YAPIG gallery directory does. This should be very simple but since YAPIG does not use an SQL databse I cant get my head around how to call the information on the main page.
