Enhancements - Contacts Management Application(repost)

Enhancement for Contact Management Application which is done by VB6 and backend by access97(All source code and reports and files are available and will be sent to the selected coder- But this should be a top undisclosed source code and file to any other third party) What I have now the application is working fine but I need some enhancement and changes on forms as I have right now all reports are done by access and there are link from the program to this reports which are now in a folder, I want all this reports to be data reports or by crystal reports what ever I decide later on, and inside the vb application also some reports are not opening properly and some reports are opening in place of another this need to be fixed. The access database is on a server, and now it fixed path in the source code, I would like you to make it variable so when you install the program on a client then you have to select the path of database and this should be done only by admin where username and password requested for changing this. The other thing is that I have some features like exporting to excel from the datagrid, so I would like you to check this and add exporting to other file format(see More details), also I need to send mass email from this application so if I select some contacts with email I could send customized email to each one with the contact name from the application it self. I also request some other minor changes here and there in the application and also some extra reports(see More Details). I request also to make a proper setup file for this application to run on all platforms like win98, 2000, ME, XP, 2003, and should support the access db 2000 and xp as well and this setup should include all file and dlls and other staff. The search and entry forms will need also some enhancement. The database might also need to be altered may with some minor extra fields or tables. I might give to the same coder if I wanted to migrate to .Net plateform so this should be considered by the coder while checking and enhancing the application that it should be easy migrated to VB .Net. ## Deliverables **_More Details: _**• Changing the existing access reports to either data reports or Crystal reports this includes all the reports inside the program such as the labels and the mail merging and the other reports . • Designing some extra reports based on some other quiries which I will tell you about later (maximum 3-4 reports). • Enhancing the database path in the program as mentioned in my bid requirements above. • Also based on the grid result and search result, it should have the option to export to Excel, text, new mdb or mysql db, .csv, html. • Enhancing the program to work faster and optimizing it to max speed. • Mass Email selecting from the grid either to many people or to an individual which the email should be customized to each and every one, and there should be a screen to setup the email configuration and also the smtp server and port, all these should be considered. • Some other changes and enhancements on forms of search and also data entry screen, also some run time errors coming on dairy and call forms which should be fixed( I will give you details of those changes on all forms very soon). • Please keep in mind that maybe some alterations and extra fields and tables need to be added to the database for the enhancement required by the buyer, this should be done by the selected coder. • The application should be enhanced in such way that it should be ready for migrating to VB .Net by the same coder. Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4)The source code and the extra files and reports given to the coder by me should not be used or disclosed to any third party or kept by the coder for any future enhancement to sold to other party then the original buyer; in this case the coder will be sue by the law. 5) The source code should be well commented where ever the enhancement is done. ## Platform For application: to run on win98, win2000, winME, winNT, Winxp, Win 2003 For Database should be compatiable with Access 97, Access 2000, Access xp, Access 2003.
