Need to provision an IIS Virtual Directory and convert to application

We need to do the following on IIS from a .net console application: Windows Server : 2008 R2 IIS Version : 7.5 Visual Studio : 2010, framework 4.0 1) For each of our client, we need to create a virtual directory under the default web site. We have an alias and the physical path of the virtual directory. 2) We need to convert the subfolder associated to #1 to an" Application" and convert the application pool to "ASP.NET Classic 4.0". Obviously, we are looking for an automated way to do this.
