Log Analysis Analytics

We are a mobile search company looking for someone to develop some analytical tools, preferably in Python, that will enable us to develop some usage statistics from our normalized server log files. The statistics will be used to better understand user behavior from two of our key API Calls. The first API call is our mobile search call. Mobile search enables users to specify a category that filters their search results. We would like the total counts of search calls for each category, as well as the counts of searches that don’t have a category specified. The second API call is the Keyword search API call. We would like to get the total counts of Keyword searches, as well as the top 50 specified keywords. The deliverables of this will be the code that performs the analytics and usage statistics for the entire user population, as well as statistics filtered around particular urban centers.
