$500-5000 USD

Paid on delivery
This project is very suitable for an experienced computer science student located in an OFFSHORE location (Thailand, China, Philippines etc.). I am looking for a skilled web developer that can work with me on a larger portal project (sports/travel). This is specifically for an individual, if you represent a outsourcing company, please do not bid/reply. You should already have completed some successful web projects and be able to learn fast. The project will require a more or less full time commitment for the initial development (at least 100 h per month) and I would like to retain you on a part time basis (around 30-50 hours per month) for continuous feature improvements. The payment will be based on monthly effort and reflect local rates. (i.e. I expect to pay around $500-$750 in the first few months and then around $300 for ongoing feature additions, web mastering and maintenance). If the portal is successful I will pay a bonus equal to 5% of the monthly portal profits after 12 months and offer you a full time position. Some of the things that I expect you to do and develop: - installation/administration of software (like Perl modules, Web server, forum software etc.) - scripts to parse/spider/scrap web pages and RSS feeds, transform the content and integrate in the portal - online application to log data (like trips0 - online application to find people with specific skills - back end content management system to moderate content that was submitted by users - back end system to manage text ads and banners - integration with Google maps - ... BONUS: If you are also able to design websites and graphics that is a definite plus. However this is not a requirement and I will outsource the graphics aspect separate if required. This is a great project with a lot of interesting aspects, if you are at the start of your career this is a great opportunity. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Sunday Jan 21, 2007 2:30:03 PM: Thank you very much for bidding on this project. There was a tremendous amount of very good candidates for this job and of course I only needed one person. I have selected a developer (O2) for this project that I found the strongest match for this particular project. Thanks again for taking the time to bid on this and perhaps there is the opportunity to work on a future project. ## Platform Redhat 9 MYSQL Perl Javascript/DHTML Apache (not yet decided) MySQL (not yet decided) vBulletin (not yet decided) Please send references of your work, i.e. websites where you have used these or similar technologies
