261526 PHP expert required

Hello This is a tricky script change so I am looking for a PHP expert to complete this job. This relates to the website dole.ie. The original programmer wrote very convoluted code. If you search for "PHP unix" you will get a page of results and a header like the following: "13 results found. Displaying: 1 - 13". I would like this changed so it says "13 results found. Sort by: Date | Relevance. Displaying: 1 - 13". Currently the search results are displayed by date. If the user clicks on relevance it will re-order the results by relevance. This is basically the same SQL I use, with the ordering changed. I will provide you with the SQL you can use. This sounds simple.... here's the tricky bit: As you can see from the URL, the URL is encoded using base64. You need to figure out a way to add the new "sort" parameter to the URL. This will mean something like the URL for the sort by relevance link will need to be recreated on every search, e.g. use urldecode() to convert the URL to a "normal" URL, add the sort option, and then reencode the URL for the link. Do you know what I mean? So all you need to do is add the new text "Sort by: Date | Relevance." where date is the current (default) sort. When the user clicks on "Relevance" the SQL results will be reordered using SQL I will provide you. This is easy, except you need to debug the complex code and deal with the encoded URL.
