I would need to look at the type of advertising you need to place is it just banners or in content banner blocks etc. It may be possible to add the advertising in a way that is flexible for you to update afterwards. Is there a scheduling and tracking needed for each advert? Can you provide more information or perhaps a mockup to reference?

Hi, I am not sure what you requirements are as you have not really specified exactly what you are looking to have done, but if you are looking to just add code blocks this can be done using Drupal's hook_block_info api. Will create a custom module to create advert blocks in, or this can be done directly via the interface...but everything is more secure when done in code. I have vast professional experience in Drupal, so i know exactly what i am doing. If you need further information, feel free to ask.
