Mouse Over script for web site

I need the script for a Wordpress page (html) that would provide a mouse over effect on button on left column with display of text on the adjacent column. Total table width would be 940. Left Hand Column width 250 pixels, main text area 690 pixels. I can create the graphics. When you mouse over the "button" on the left hand column, text to appear on right side "body" of page. Text will remain until mouse is moved off button. Easy script. Would prefer no header script but will make exception. Want to see examples of your work prior agreement.
