Podcast and Feed Widget for Windows and Mac OS

This project is to create a widget compatible with Windows and Mac OS. The widget will be for [login to view URL] and allow users who download it to automatically see the latest headlines from the site. These headlines will be pulled from [login to view URL]'s RSS feeds. The widget will allow users the ability to choose which [login to view URL] RSS feed they want to get updates from. Options will include: The main RSS feed: (this will be the default option) [login to view URL] Or, alternitively, one of the following feeds: Arts [login to view URL] Arts Now Podcast [login to view URL] Books + Lit [login to view URL] City [login to view URL] Environment [login to view URL] Fashion [login to view URL] Film [login to view URL] Flickr Forum [login to view URL] moviesTO Podcast [login to view URL] Music [login to view URL] Theatre [login to view URL] TnO [login to view URL] Toronto Indie Music Podcast [login to view URL] The widget will also include a podcast player with the ability to listen to the latest episode of the moviesTO, Arts Now and Toronto Independent Music podcast. This component would have similar functionality to the podcast flash player in the right hand column of the [login to view URL] web site. The creative for the widget will be provided. You will just be responsible for the development and ensuring that it is compatible with the Windows and Mac OS operating system. One side of the widget will include the latest headlines and podcast player. The other side is where the user can customize it (choose alternate RSS feed for headlines). ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
