My program does not always work as expected. See if you can find the bug & fix it. Attached is a sample of code. Full source will be made available to the selected coder. The program watches tournaments on Full Tilt Poker. It looks for the player who is currently registered to play in a heads-up game, and then checks his history against a URL. The first time the player is seen, the program triggers like expected. The next time he is seen, the program does not trigger at all. What I want the program to do (and here is where the bug lies) is to save a cached version of the URL onto the hard drive in a text file. If the text file is newer than 24 hours old, the program should use the text file data instead of querying the url. If the players information is not saved to a text file, or the information is older than 24 hours, the program should go online to get the data. The data is being cached somehow in the app already, but I would prefer it if the cache was reimplemented like I described. I think this should clear up the bug nicely. I suspect the algorithm looks something like this now: 1) find the players name 2) if the player info is cached, use the cache data 3) otherwise, use getinternetresult(char* name) 4) make some decisions i just need 2) to work as i documented above... The application utilizes debugging & detours. Please be familiar with these. The deadline is firm.
