Freight Forwarding Expert

I purchased preserved flowers from a supplier on Alibaba. They have been taking care of shipping this whole time and never told us to look into other freight forwarders. I made it clear from the beginning that I would need the products at my address in Canada before February. So they said they would ship everything out by Dec 31st and Originally they said they could get us DDP shipping for $2700USD and it would take 20-22 days. I also made sure to ask them continuously if the pandemic was affecting shipping times and they said if there was a difference it wouldn't be a big difference. Then on Dec 31st when the items were supposed to be shipped out, at the last minute they told us there are issues going on at the Canadian ports so we would not get our shipment till after Valentines Day. Then our only option in order to get our shipment by February was Air Freight for $7588 USD which was more then double the original shipping costs. Now they are telling us the product is getting stuck at customs and they are telling us to find a different freight forwarder. The supplier said hes having issues with his fright forwarder because the products are a plant. They are real roses that are perserved using a special process to make the flowers last for over 2 years without watering or keeping under sunlight. Do you have any leads we can go to or any advice?
