System Validation Engineer

Job description<br />Job Description: Creates, defines and develops system validation environment and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platform-level tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams in improving post-silicon test content and providing feedback for future on-die debug features. <br /><br />Validation focus is verifying the integration of server components across various configurations of CPU, Memory, PCH, I/O devices and Operating Systems. Additionally, validation will include simulation of customer environments with application workloads, use cases, and platform level stress. Additional focus on validation with a customer focus including understanding customer application workloads, user scenarios, and system level performance. <br /><br />Candidate will have a minimum of a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Minimum of 5 years of experience in validation roles with minimum of 8 years' experience in various engineering roles. <br /><br />Qualifications<br /><br />Looking for a skillful and talented Validation Engineer. In this position, you will be working as a member of the Product Collaboration and Systems Division (PCSD) responsible for ensuring the commercial and collaborative server platforms meet our customer qualify expectations. You will be a member of the platform validation effort including test strategy, test planning, execution and reporting and will make recommendations to the business on release readiness. Activities you will be responsible for include: <br />- Planning, developing and executing validation tasks <br />- Investigating and adapting appropriate existing validation tools <br />- Planning, developing and executing code and tools to keep metrics automatically updated. <br />- Planning, developing and executing code and tools to help the group keeping Systems Engineering Best Practices. <br />- Designing, developing and debugging Validation Tools and SW. <br />- Participating in key silicon product development and technical teams. <br />- Engaging with various internal cross-team validation organizations.
