I have experience working with iOS and just submitted my first solo app to the store yesterday! I worked for a startup for 9 months working on their production iOS app, so I have experience working solo and on a team. Assuming that you are not looking for any crazy filters or anything, this project should be relatively simple and should not take that long. Getting the interval from the user should be pretty easy, and after that it is just making sure that the app has access to the camera and that it only takes pictures once the user defined interval has passed. I have an iPhone 7 so I can test this on a physical device, my fiancee has an iPhone 6S so I can also test it physically on that device as well.
