The piece of information you needed to find
The shell command(s) that you used to find it
A description of what you've done
Example

1c Experimenting while reading the first exercises
What to put in the description
For the description in each question explain how you found out what to do, if you used an external reference (e.g. a website like Stack Overflow or Server Fault) then include the URL in your description. If your technique has limitions (e.g. it misses a step that you had to do manually, or it is hacked as a special case then explain what they are. Lastly, if there is a way to improve the technique but you don't know how to do it then explain what else you would like it to do.
You still need to find out how to make the hits file from the data file, but this time there is some rewriting of the match involved using the substitute command in sed. I have coloured the hits red in both files to make it easier to see the connection - you will need to search for console color codes and work out how to remove this colouring when you try to answer the questions. More explicitly: find a way to strip all color codes from a file. Work on the stripped version of data to produce uncolored output, and strip the hits file to compare against your answers.
