Need assistance in filing law suit against USPS

Personally, I think filing a federal case for up to $2,000 as your post states would be futile. The time and expense involved would far outweigh your recovery, which even if you are successful would be over a year down the road. I would recommend following their claims procedure if you have not already done so and I could guide you through that process. I do not know the facts surrounding the loss, but I do know that proving negligence is generally very difficult. If you do have a strong case, however, you might be able to claim more damages for loss of business profits or something similar. I would be open to discussing this with you further, if you like.
