Intersection Observer: Rescale image on scroll when DIV is in viewport

I require a script that scales an image down when its parent DIV enters the viewport and stops scaling when exited viewport: - The script must use Intersection Observer for performance. - I require the image to scale from 1.5 on entering the viewport and to 1 when parent DIV is scrolled out of viewport. - The image should not scale beyond this. - I require a console log to prove that image has stopped scaling.
