I am looking to revamp the website [login to view URL] The guy who built it is a friend of mine and he has gone onto bigger and better things. He is still in control of the site and can help when needed. I can provide the source code for the site. This is his explanation of the website: [login to view URL] doesn’t really use that much standard html. It uses Flash but also JavaScript and what is called server side code. Most of the pages do not have an html suffix – they are .aspx pages. This means that this code runs on the server to calculate things like what is being ordered, how much it costs and to create the emails. I use three different tools to do it and to be honesty I am only really comfortable with the server side code and JavaScript – I managed to pick up Flash but only from a programming perspective hence the need for a graphic designer to get involved. The site currently only offers latex balloons. I need to offer foil balloons in Hearts, Rounds & Star shape. I also need it to be more user friendly with the occasional pop up box to help the user along the way. It would also be useful if I could control the prices and edit them myself. In the future I will also need different versions of the site for various retailers who wish to act as agents.
