FIRE ALARM CAD ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION: FIRE ALARM CAD ENGINEER
Position Overview:
We are NYC based rapidly growing start up Fire Alarm Company, seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our operations by accurately analyzing blueprints to perform device counts, inputting data into Excel spreadsheets, and transforming the information into comprehensive proposals. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with our team. The role also encompasses general administrative tasks to support the smooth functioning of the office.
Responsibilities:
Blue Print Device Take Off:
Review blueprints and construction documents to extract relevant data and information needed for project proposals.
Data Entry:
Input collected data into Excel spreadsheets with precision and accuracy.
Generate Fire Alarm Shop Drawings:
Using CAD with our company’s title block template, extract information from an already engineered fire alarm drawing, and processed shop drawing fire alarm wiring diagram.
Administrative Support:
Perform general administrative tasks such as managing emails, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and maintaining office supplies.
Communication:
Collaborate with team members and clients to clarify project requirements and ensure proposal accuracy. Communicate effectively through Microsoft Teams video conferences and other communication channels.
Time Management:
Efficiently manage tasks to meet deadlines and ensure timely completion of proposals.
Saturday Availability:
Be available when required on Saturdays, as per the demands of the workload.
English Fluency:
Communicate fluently in English to interact effectively with USA-based office staff and clients.
USA Work Hours:
Maintain a full-time schedule, working 40 hours per week, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, in accordance with EST USA standard time zone.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in blueprint analysis, data entry, or administrative roles is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accurate data input and manipulation.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, including fluency in spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and video conferencing tools.
• Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
• Flexibility to work on Saturdays as needed.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Comfortable working during the Eastern USA standard time zone working hours.
