Hi Freelancers, I am looking for either an easy to use script or even better a little piece of software where we can select directories with Excel documents in them (2003, 2007 & 2010) which will mass update the connection string properties of the document from one server to another. So ideally we only need to see two fields; 1) Directories 2) Updated connection string to be changed EG DRIVER=SQL Server;SERVER=SQLSVR01L;UID=dboreports;PWD=xxxxxx;APP=2007 Microsoft Office system;WSID=ISM0001;Network=DBMSLPCN If you have any questions let me know, I don't have any preference for platform provided it runs on Windows Server 2003 & Windows Server 2008.

Hi, i can do this with VBA for Excel with follow work flow: 1/ Open a Excel file 2/Input all the new connection paramenters: user, password, server, network etc 3/Run a macro, it will prompt user for a folder 4/macro change all connections of the excel files of the selected folder. These step may be variate all or some connection meet certain condition etc...
