I am seeking a freelancer who can assist me with the implementation of an operational amplifier (op-amp) for the measurement of beam bending in load testing. The project requires the following skills and experience: - Strong knowledge and experience in designing and implementing operational amplifiers with high gain and low noise - Familiarity with load testing and the ability to accurately measure beam bending - Proficiency in creating working prototypes to demonstrate the functionality of the operational amplifier - Attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate measurements and data analysis Description: An apparatus consisting of a resistive strain gauge, step-motor, Arduino and a few other electronics on a breadboard is set up. The apparatus is required for application of force on top of a metallic beam and measurement of beam’s bending by using a resistive strain gauge attached on the beam. Both quasi-static and slow dynamic loading cases should be measured. THE PROBLEM THAT MUST BE SOLVED: In the weblink below is the code and schematics used for measurement of a strain gauge (MMF006835) with Arduino. After setting up the circuit (amplifier used in a circuit is INA125P) and using the code itself, the output received from the Arduino is not logical. Output does not change properly when the force is applied to the metallic beam (i.e., strain gauge) itself. Normally, at this stage of the proposal I provide a detailed workflow for the project. However, this one will be a bit different. My first suggestion is an alternative to INA125 - AD8221; AD8421; LTC6081; LTC6082; INA114 for example. Then I would suggest to reconfigure the circuit arrangement as well - add a trimmer for gain adjustment; add a trimmer for CMRR adjustment. Also, I am not sure what the reference voltage is doing on the strain gauge sensor. My advice would be not to touch the code until you have a properly working circuit.
