Electronics Design

Hi, I have worked on designing many telephony devices mainly sub-contracted to BT. To date my telephony designs are BT Paragon 200 telephone, BT Ultimate 106, 6x1 PABX and BT Global Tuner I designed both electronics and firmware. I have experience of designing speech networks, telephone answering devices, display, remote access, line signalling such as caller display and metering signals and designing line powered equipment. I have experience of UK & US telephone requirements and specs. ---- I would take a note of all your requirements and get them into a documented form of hardware requirements. I would need a little time to research the best technology to use especially for the speech processor, after which I would produce you a schematic diagram and prototype PCB layout. At the same time of designing the schematic I would produce a detailed hardware description document. The next step would be to build a prototype for firmware development, after which I would prepare a second prototype to ship to you for testing. At the same time of developing the firmware, I would produce a detailed firmware description document. If there were any issues you found with the prototype I would amend as required from you. Final phase of the project would be to design a PCB to fit in your housing (if required) then hand over all project documentation and design files & Gerber outputs in a complete manufacturing package which you can take to any manufacturer for mass production

Hi, I have about 17 years of experience in Telecom product development (Hardware, Embedded s/w and VLSI). I have not designed products for UK telecom, but my understanding is that telephone systems used in India have the same specifications. I would like to know more about the requirements.. Hello, I have designed similar products for Indian Telephones (BSNL,same as UK systems using Solid state disk as storage and a similar system used by Railways(24V) using SD card for storage, I have used Raspberry Pie and also dedicated boards of my own, record was single channel 8 bits, The Auto Playback is from a Solid State chip, there are other features like USB connectivity,RTC. I have 14 years experience with PBX systems including Intel Dialogic PBX for digital cities> Since telephone powered circuits need low power, I have the right interface circuits compatible with telephony and PBX standards. The system needs to be small so I plan to use Arduino which allows interfacing with SD cards for recording a huge number of days or even months without need for external intervention, also it is able to communicate via Wire and Wireless to send the recorded files when required.
