Simple Business List Research

This should be a very simple project for someone who knows what they're doing. It's basic Internet research and minor data entry. WHAT WE HAVE: - List of businesses (2,548) that fit this criteria: ---- Phone is in 847 area code (northern Illinois) ---- Location is listed as a branch office ---- 20+ employees at branch location - IMPORTANT NOTE: 50-75% or more of this list is garbage to us and it's easy to visually filter out. For example, Culver's (restaurant) is listed 20 times. For this project, we can ignore all spreadsheet rows for Culver's. That means the actual list of businesses that require verification is much smaller--we're estimating perhaps 400-500. WHAT WE NEED: - List of businesses that fit this criteria: ---- Must be a branch office where the corporate headquarters is outside of Illinois ---- Must not be a government office ---- Must not be a retail store ---- Must not be a restaurant ---- Must not be a Fortune 500 company ---- Must not be in information technology industry ---- Must not have 6+ locations in Illinois TASKS NECESSARY: - Review row in spreadsheet ---- If it does not match criteria, move to next row ---- If it does match criteria, search Google for company -------- Confirm that business meets all criteria above -------- Confirm Illinois location information (address, document in VER_ADDRESS, VER_CITY, VER_ZIP columns) -------- If multiple locations listed on business web site, but not multiple locations listed in spreadsheet, please add a row to the spreadsheet but only include the NAME, VER_ADDRESS, VER_CITY, VER_ZIP columns). If mutiple locations listed in spreadsheet, confirm each address and copy addresses to VER_ADDRESS, VER_CITY, VER_ZIP fields. - Mark Y in column 1 for each business that matchs criteria HOW TO BID - It's difficult to estimate how many hours of work are required for this project. - Please bid an hourly rate for this project in your comments. - Please bid a maximum amount for this project as your actual fixed bid. - You will be paid either the hourly rate multiplied by the number of hours worked, or the maximum amount bid, whichever is lower. - We have a very limited budget for this project, but the work is needed immediately.
