Food logging is the core of our apps, and its important that our users are able to find any type of food they eat and choose units that they are familiar with. That’s where you get involved. Noom is looking for a freelancer to improve quality of our food database. The position will include finding correct units for food items based on guidelines and serving size information on given food items, we already have, and so much more. Responsibilities: - Find the most comprehensive units and the calorie information on given 400 food items. - Correct issues or wrong unit information on already registered items based on guidelines - Contributes and improves Food database quality - Daily data entry tasks using Excel spreadsheets or Google doc. - Work directly with Food Database editor on on-going projects - Need to complete 50-80 items daily and report to Database Editors Requirements: - Some experience with web research on food items in America - Detail oriented and care for the quality of your work - Able to fulfill tasks and duties remotely daily **PLEASE NOTE: This is project-based paid. $150 for completing 400 items/ week.

As a regular calorie counter, i understand the importance of correct and concise information regarding the nutritional information of food i eat. This project will utilize my daily skills that i apply to my way of life. finding the accurate calorie count for a meal can sometimes be tricky due to the numerous amount of information on the web. If i am assigned this project, i will conduct a thorough research on the nutritional information available for a particular food item, tally it with the serving size, confirm with the manufacturer and if the information still remains unclear, i would make a personal trip to the department store to confirm for myself. I have over 5 years experience working for as an administrative assistant for two large retail/departmental stores in canada (zellers/target), my duties were heavily condensed in research and data entry so i understand the importance of the task ahead. in addition to that, i am a regular editor for MYFITNESSPAL ( a food and exercise tracking app), constantly adding and correcting nutritional information, serving size and product brand name. In summary, i believe that i am the right person for this task because i have a deep interest in nutrition, healthy living and overall; your company's ideology which makes it very easy to channel my skills towards ensuring that this task is done consistently, effectively and correctly.
