We're looking for a professional copywriter to create content for various pages of our new shopify website. We are running an international medical aid humanitarian relief operation and your copy is essential to maximising donations so that we can buy medical aid.
You will need to be highly articulate and capable of powerful emotive writing, as well as having an awareness of ecommerce copywriting, intents, and tuning copy for conversions. You'll be writing a mix of very very short copy for elements and long form 800 word sections.
We need:
- Two or three sentences for the product description on our product page. This product is just a buy button to donate money. Copy should aim to convert people with emotional buy-in.
- Text for our "how you can help raise awareness" page, inspiring and instructing people that they can share our website, message companies, etc
- A compelling mission statement for "Our Goals" page. A powerful and moving 400-600 words explaining why we're here, what we're going to do, etc. It will start with an objectives overview, like a title and 3 bullets, then go into the prose.
- The "Our Progress" page will be a shopify blog post that we add to after each event. You'll need to input a timeline of events in descending order and embelish each event with one or two sentences for maximum impact.
- The "Our Partners" page is about other companies supporting us. It should be 4 or 5 lines about how important it is to work together and should build credibility and team spirit to the reader
- The "Our Team" page is an explanation of who we are, standard stuff
- Educational section - this should be a long form, up to 1000 words, easily readable, section that explains what is happening in Ukraine and the crisis. The background to why we are here and something that educates cold audiences on the scale of the crisis, and compels them to act. You'll be able to use shutterstock imagery paid for by us to support this.
- Just giving page - this will be a mix of all of the sections above and will be done last.
You must have native-english proficiency and ideally are based in the UK. Project deadline is EOB Monday and very much need a seasoned expert to dive in and take the reigns of the project. You'll have direct access to me and my support at all stages 7am to 9pm every day.
