Adapt Theme-Specific WP Plugin for Different Theme

I recently purchased the Seeko theme for BuddyPress (the BuddPress plugin running on the WordPress platform, that is), for a membership website I'm putting together, but then afterward, I decided to switch to the BuddyBoss fork of BuddyPress, as well as the BuddyBoss theme (it's WAY better) . The problem is, BuddyBoss doesn't have the same filtering of User Profiles that Seeko does, which you can see right here: [login to view URL] And because BuddyBoss/BuddyPress doesn't use custom post types for user profiles, I apparently can't use tools like ToolSet to do the searching/filtering. Seeko came with it's own custom search plugin to make that happen, but now I'd like to adapt that plugin for use with the BuddyBoss theme on the BuddyBoss platform.
