As an experienced US Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in private practice, I am looking for assistance in performing structural detailing, drawing layout, and annotation tasks associated with a small set (2-4) of reinforced concrete foundation drawings to be included in a larger set of drawings for an 8,000 s.f., two story, light gauge steel prefabricated building.
The ideal freelance contractor will have:
1. Access to their own seat of ACAD LT, ver. 2023 or compatible equivalent.
2. Ability to collaborate, in English, via video conference (Google Meet preferred).
3. Familiarity with standard drawing practice for detailing light gauge steel buildings, steel reinforced concrete slabs on ground, retaining walls, and shallow footings.
4. Ability and willingness to modify, edit, and annotate existing CAD model details, and to format drawing sheets, in accordance with directions provided by a Registered Professional Engineer.
Structural design experience is NOT required, as all structural design work has been been completed in accordance with applicable standards. However, some familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 302.1R, and the CRSI Manual of Standard Practice would be helpful.
To provide an idea of the scope of work involved, I'm providing the following png images:
1. 3D rendering of the structure to be detailed.
2. 2D drawing showing representative details and the overall format of the drawings to be produced.
Hourly rate and extent of the engagement will depend on the freelancer's technical skills and ability to communicate technical information in a manner that is "clear, concise, neat, and complete."
