I need a Sound Designer/Audio Editor for our True Crime Podcast! -- 2

Hey there y'all! My name is Colin Browen, co-host of the podcast "Murder in America". We're a growing true crime podcast based in Austin, TX, with almost 800,000 monthly downloads. We're signed to Audioboom, and are charting as we speak on both Spotify and Apple Podcasts, but currently, my wife and I are just working too much To describe our show to you, and what we would require out of an audio editor, here are the basics. Courtney (my wife &; co-host) and I both record our vocals separately, while the other is out of the room. Then, the story is told in paragraph form, with one speaker narrating their paragraph before it switches to the other narrator. We remove all breath and pauses in the vocals in our respective tracks. What sets us apart from other true crime podcasts, however, is our use of sound effects. In the stories, we like to add sound effects to key parts and scenes from the script. For example, if someone is getting stabbed, we will add in the sound of a knife stab. If someone opens a door, we add the sound of a door slowly creaking open. If someone is driving a car, we add the sounds of a car turning over, then ambient noise recorded from the inside of a driving vehicle. The sound effects aren't constant, but they are definitely a big part of the story and people love them. I'd love to find someone to hire onto our team, but I need to know that you have the ability to add in sound effects at the right, tasteful times.
