Hi
My fundamental principle of technical writing is simple: Tell them what you're going to tell them. Tell them. Then, tell them what you've told them. In this assignment I will stick to 5-Steps: 1. Preparation, [login to view URL], [login to view URL], 4. Writing a draft, 5.Revision. I know the reason you want this task done is so that you can educate, inform or direct your audience on how to do something. My experience in Technical writing is that it is significantly different from other types of writing that I am good at such as grant writing, creative writing, web-content writing, copywriting and academic, resumes and cover letter writing, because technical writing is intended to impart to the reader some specific skill or ability. Technical writing isn't for everyone. It is often very detail-oriented and usually involves writing within fields where some advanced knowledge is required. In tackling this technical writing assignment, I’ll approach it in a certain way in order to be successful: 1. I will establish the purpose of the document, 2. Assess the audience, 3. Determine the scope, [login to view URL] the appropriate medium.
If my approach resonates with your expectations you can feedback me with additional info on the assignment.
Best,
Martin
