Dear Hiring Manager,
I am a Medical Writer/Physician Scientist who have spent the last 15 years training in Clinical Medicine and Biomedical research with post-doc experiences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health(NIH). I had the good fortune of managing a NIH-based clinical trial that produced a significant scientific discovery resulting in a first-author publication which was well-received by the scientific community in the form of over 1500 citations since the initial press release. I recently had a second novel scientific discovery at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) at NIH by being the first to create a new formulation method for Diazeniumdiolates (a nitric oxide-based prodrug that is poised to be the next new block-buster anti-cancer agent). These great medical and scientific opportunities have allowed me to learn how to construct influential communicates such as study protocols, informed consent forms, clinical reports and INDs.
About 8 years ago, I realized that I enjoy translating scientific topics to a broader audience (i.e., nontechnical, technical). For the past 4 years, I have been a medical writer producing written medical content for a Texas-based company. I strongly believe that my background has allowed me to hone my writing skills and continue to produce great work in the near future for your organization.
