Hello, I would love to work on your project as I find it perfect for my skills and experience. I've worked for several years as an English teacher (for IT students), a translator (English-Romanian, Romanian-English, French-Romanian) and as a proofreader. I am familiar with subtitle editors such as Subtitle Edit 3.3, so I would have no problem delivering .srt files. Also, I must say I've done a lot of transcriptions both in my native language (conferences on literature or dialogues with contemporary writers – some were very bad audio recordings) and English (mostly well edited video recordings on civic responsibility, political issues, environmental protection), therefore I am used to work with text provided through a video (audio) channel and also a good typist. Good Morning, sir, I am delighted to find your project as I am looking forward for some time for a subtitling job. Even though I am new to freelancer.com I assure you I am not new to translations. Translation jobs are everywhere, but it is not the case for subtitling jobs and this is what I have been waiting for as I truly always found most pleasurable and suited for me a job like subtitling movies, documentaries or even Japanese anime for televisions or others. I have collaborations in this respect with SDI Media Group, I have been subtitling for AXN Romania, and other 2 television networks in my country and even did free subtitling for certain movies or anime series that I like. My studies in professional translations also took me from legal translations, to translating documents of any kind, but what I really am enjoying is to give people the best experience in watching a movie or a program on TV and understanding it in their own language while keeping the authenticity and fun of the program. I think that quality and not quantity should be the rule in translations and since subtitling is done in quantity these days I have a different approach. I am the best person to do the job, because: I really enjoy doing this kind of work, I am doing it in a very accurate way (as an engineer in electrical field, thoroughness is a professional flaw :)), using diacritics(special Romanian characters), so it will be a professional translating. I also did this kind of work before - translating and transcribing a lot of movies, conferences, seminars and more, translated and tested educational games for kids in Romanian. My work will not only be simple word-by-word translating, but adjusting the translation to best fit the idea of the transmitted message.
