Looking for a long-term YouTube Shorts Scriptwriter in the Tech Niche. 1) Skilled Writer + 2) Technology Enthusiast. [Long-Term, Per-Project Pay] We are launching a new YouTube channel dedicated to exploring emerging and interesting technologies. Our goal is to stand out with content that captivates and educates by delving into the latest interesting technological advancements and innovations - from AI products, VR, to macro level tech changes. This role is perfect for someone who is deeply passionate about technology, stays abreast of tech trends, and possesses a witty and engaging writing style. You are always on twitter, product hunt, etc… and you get excited about cutting-edge developments. You will be paid on a per-project basis. Responsibilities: * Write engaging, informative, and creative scripts for shorts, maybe long-form YouTube videos, but mainly shorts scripts. Batch of scripts per month. How can we stand out from the other channels? * Stay up-to-date with the latest tech trends/products from valid sources, to incorporate the most potentially viral concepts. Requirements: * Proven scriptwriting experience, specifically for YouTube. * Good understanding on how to “hook” a viewer in the first few seconds * Familiarity with or willingness to learn specific content creation strategies to maximize viewer retention and engagement, specifically on YouTube (George Blackman is a great resource ([login to view URL]) Excellent storytelling, writing, and editing skills, capable of conveying complex tech information in an engaging and accessible manner. (Emphasis on witty, funny, educational but entertaining writing!) * Other than any meetings needed, your hours are flexible and will be mainly async. Important Note: * While AI tools can be utilized for preliminary research and as an aid, they should not contribute more than 5-10% to the scriptwriting process. We emphasize the importance of original, human-driven creativity in scriptwriting, as AI is not yet adept at capturing the nuanced, engaging content style we aim for. How to Apply: 1.
