I have an STL file of the paranasal sinuses, part of my master's degree.
Unfortunately, everything I've managed to print so far has thick struts inside, in a region called the ethmoid labyrinth, which is highlighted with red markings in Figure 2.
All these thicknesses cannot exceed 0.2mm.
I attached a photo of the labyrinth, which I segmented in Figure 3: unfortunately, the thicknesses vary greatly due to automatic and manual segmentations.
Thus, the printer produces a thicker biomodel, especially at the cell junctions. This makes surgical simulation difficult, as the region becomes hardened, very resistant, even if we do not perform UV post-processing and/or vary the resins and printing methods.
We have already tried SLS with polyamide, SLS with polyamide and glass, and currently we are betting on liquid resin photopolymerization, with an Anycubic printer.

Infelizmente, tudo que consegui imprimir até o momento, apresenta o interior com traves muito grossas, numa região chamada de labirinto etmoidal, que na figura 2 está apontado com marcações vermelhas. Todas estas espessuras não podem passar dos 0,2mm.
Anexei foto do labirinto, que segmentei na figura 3: infelizmente, as espessuras variam muito pelas segmentações automática e manual. Deste modo, a impressora produz um biomodelo mais espesso, especialmente nas junções das células.
Isto dificulta a simulação cirúrgica, pois a região fica endurecida, muito resistente, mesmo que não façamos UV pós processamento e/ou variemos as resinas e os meios de impressão. Já tentamos sls com poliamida, sls com poliamida e vidro e atualmente apostamos na fotopolimerização de resina líquida, com impressora da anycubic.
