I need two XSLT files created that work with an XML file (I will provide) containing basketball stats. See details below. They must be formatted in a similar fashion as other XSLT files I currently use (and will provide as reference) with a XML file containing football stats.
File 1:
The XSL file should reference the basketball XML file and create two new fields. These fields need to sum up points in paint – “paint” – and fast break points – “fastb” – as team totals for visitor – “V” – and home – “H”.
Task 2:
The XSL should create a new field based off the player’s names for either visitor or home teams. The new field should take the player’s full name (Chris Salters) – “@name” – and change it to this format: C. Salters. The trick is that the naming convention can change from game to game. It typically comes across one of three ways: "First Last", "Last, First", or "Last,First". The XSL should account for each of those 3 ways and if it fails, should spit out the @name value as a last resort.
